  • Hospital Quality Improvement Collaborative

    HQIC is a four-year project to improve outcomes in several patient safety-related areas such a sepsis, adverse drug events, and hospital-acquired infections. In addition, it is designed to provide support to hospitals in the response to public health emergencies, such as COVID-19 and the opioid epidemic, as well as improvements in patient and family engagement and health equity. Convergence Health Consulting is one of nine organizations awarded a HQIC contract from CMS.

  • Cal Healthcare Compare

    Providing Californians with objective performance ratings for hospitals and long-term care providers, Cal Healthcare Compare is a nonprofit organization that aggregates public data to establish relevant measures and scoring for two free websites, Cal Hospital Compare and Cal Long Term Care Compare.

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP (AAPL)

  • Convergence’s CEO, Dr. Bruce Spurlock, serves as faculty for the American Academy of Physician Leaders (AAPL). Dr. Spurlock teaches clinicians how to apply quality improvement principles in ambulatory, acute, military, and academic settings, as well as how to translate these concepts in negotiations with health systems and plans. His courses are available in-person and virtually for both US-based and international clinicians.

  • It is our core belief that all physicians are leaders, and as such are especially vital in determining and effecting better healthcare services delivery and patient outcomes.

    We therefore endeavor to prepare physicians in diverse disciplines to be influential and effective leaders in the improvement, delivery and management of healthcare services.

CENTER FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS)

  • HQIC is a four-year project to improve outcomes in several patient safety-related areas. Convergence Health Conuslting is one of nine organizations awarded an HQIC Contract from CMS.

    Convergence HQIC includes over 300 hospitals from 11 states across the country, offering a unique opportunity to leverage peer-to-peer learning, subject matter expertise, and collaborative learning.

  • CMS is the federal agency that provides health coverage to more than 160 million through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Health Insurance Marketplace. CMS works in partnership with the entire health care community to improve quality, equity and outcomes in the health care system.

THE NEW MEXICO HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION (NMHA)

  • Convergence provided in-person and virtual training to New Mexico hospitals, including the Quality and Patient Safety Fellowship and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) workshop. These trainings are designed to help health care quality leaders discover and learn the core competency essentials crucial to success in a quality role.

  • New Mexico Hospital Association (NMHA) is:

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CARE ACCESS AND INFORMATION (HCAI)

  • The Convergence Health team provides subject matter expertise to the Department of Health Care Access and Information's (HCAI) stakeholder committee developing recommendations for annual equity reports and improvement plans submitted by acute care hospitals in California. This ranges across many complex health care topics, including hospital administration in the California market; federal government and national quality measures and standards; hospital quality and equity measurement; person demographic data specification and stratification; data de-identification and patient privacy; and healthcare measurement design, validity, and reporting.

  • The California Health Care Foundation is an independent, nonprofit philanthropy that works to improve the health care system so that all Californians have the care they need. We focus especially on making sure the system works for Californians with low incomes and for communities who have traditionally faced the greatest barriers to care.

THE RAND CORPORATION

  • The Implementation and Testing of Diagnostic Safety Resources project aims to address errors in the field of diagnostic safety. The goal of this project is to implement and test three diagnostic safety resources, including Calibrate Dx, Measure Dx, and the Toolkit for Engaging Patients to Improve Diagnostic Safety across 150 sites to identify specific ways in which each resource can be used to maximize its value while addressing diagnostic errors.
